Basic Strategy

  • Kill the first 2 pets before attacking GoS
  • Keep your active skills for desperation
  • Kill pets as soon as they spawn

Tank
Get your MR as high as possible, especially important for desperation. Else you'll get hit for 80k damage in 10 seconds with a 70% disease in despo... and I don't count melee damage on top of that.
Don't forget to use protect on your offtank
Swap to Spellguard every 20 seconds to cover Ancient Prison with extra resistance. The delay in between each cast of this debuff doesn't vary.
Feel free to swap to SG for UF and HP out of desperation, but it isn't a must. However, make sure not ot miss a swap in desperation.
Frozen Liquors are great if you feel like you're short on ice resistances.
If you have low stunresistance, you can ask your offtank to attack first so he gets hit by the stunresist and you're safe for 20 seconds. Long enough to get the necessary agro.
Off-tank
Get your absorb and armor as high as possible. The pets won't debuff you.
You need to gather as much agro as possible as fast as possible. Make sure that you use your active skills too.
Your main job is offtanking, not ressing or buffing the tank when pets are about to spawn. Wait right after you kill 2 pets before casting anything.
Don't forget to Protect the main tank
If you lag, just make sure you target nothing and let autoattack do the job for you (don't let autoattack fails though).
Priests
The order of importance of roombuffs is as follow: MoP >>> USoF >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> VoL. Don't bother recasting VoL at the middle of despo.
Make sure that BoD, MoP and Condemn are up at all time.
Don't bother casting if you're debuffed by Curse of Sorrow. Your spell effectiveness would be extremely low. If you feel the need to, inform the rest of the group.
One priest should focus on the off-tank and make sure he doesn't die.
One priest should keep bind ready for desperation.
Priests should keep healing the damagers that get hurt by Jagged Spines to make sure they don't die because of a room damage proc.
Bind Wound the tank at 40% outside of despo and 50% at the middle of it.
There can be some huge damage burst during despo. To make sure nobody gets surprised, just chain heal.
Inform the group before you completely run out of mana so they have time to ignite or give you mana healing items.
Don't bother nuking if Prism of Sorrow is on.
Druid
Don't bother casting if you're debuffed by Curse of Sorrow. Your spell effectiveness would be extremely low. If you feel the need to, inform the rest of the group.
Make sure to keep rain up at all time to minimize the effect of Jagged Spines.
Don't forget to RoTG the tank. It's particularly important for desperation.
If you're a nuker, make sure that you keep a good chunk of your mana for desperation. It's the only real danger if the tank knows what he's doing.
Use various maces to debuff the boss, mainly Lightbane for this boss.
Don't bother nuking if Prism of Sorrow is on.
Enchanters
Spell Reflection isn't important for this boss.
Try to keep the tank RoG'ed.
Make sure that you debuff if you have the spell.
Don't forget to use RoTT. It's particularly helpful for debuffers. Nukers can also deal incredible damage with this.
Don't bother nuking if Prism of Sorrow is on.
Wizards
Don't bother nuking if Prism of Sorrow is on.
Make sure that you keep a good chunk of your mana for desperation. It's the only real danger of the boss if the tank knows what he's doing.
Don't bother casting if you're debuffed by Curse of Sorrow and outside of desperation. The extra agro isn't wanted.
Necromancers
If there are one than one necromancers, ask one to focus on the boss while the other debuff the pets.
If there is only one necromancer with UF, only debuff pets if they're dying too slow. I suggest ToD for a faster cast.
If you're coming as support, your job is to keep the boss debuffed. Don't burn your mana for no reason.
Damagers
Don't attack before you're told to.
Stop attacking during revenge.
Keep your active skills for desperation.
Switch to kill pets as soon as they spawn.
Know your class. Do your best not to steal agro.
